Deal of the Week

Now that it is finally warmer outside, many stores are trying to get rid of their fall/winter inventory. As a shopper, this means that you can find amazing deals! While it may be items you may not wear for a while, you can find some great prices on wardrobe staples for the following season.

Any store I’m at I love to peek at the sale racks. You never know what you cand find, and I always go in with an open mind. I also have a rolling list of things I’m looking for to add to my wardrobe that I always on the hunt for! It’s easy to get swept away with the great prices, so always to a check of it you actually love the item and it’s something you’d wear 6 months from now, or if you’re just buying it for the deal. Trend and styles can change so I love to stick to more simple silhouettes and styles when shopping out of season.

I was at a Nordstrom Rack when a sweater caught my eye. When I first saw it on the rack, all I could see was a tan/oatmeal color sleeve. I pulled it out and saw the pops of neon orange, and fell in love. I’m such a neutrals person, but this fun unexpected pop of color was just something I couldn’t pass up. Since it’s mostly neutral it’s easy to incorporate into my wardrobe, and the fun pop adds a fun twist that keeps my wardrobe from being too boring. The neckline and the shape of the sweater is very simple and minimalistic, making it more timeless even with the fun color. The length of the sweater and sleeves fit perfectly on me, which was a huge plus. Being petite any sleeve details can be tough since I often have to cuff the sleeves for a better length, but I have no need with this one!

I checked the tag, and it was Helmut Lang. My heart sank a little since as much as I love the brand it can be very pricey. But my shock it was on clearance for $63.99! It was originally $450, which makes it over 85% off. It was too good to pass up, and I couldn’t wait to buy it. I know it will be a while before I get a chance to wear it, but I know even come fall it’ll be a piece I’ll love!
