T-Shirts at every budget

T shirts to me are a must have for any wardrobe. I wear them alone, under cardigans, blazers, jackets, the ways are endless. They help keep a neutral background for a statement jacket, or just provide a necessary layer. Since T shirts are such an essential item in my closet, I’m always on the hunt for the best ones. I love to have a mix of fits, materials, and necklines as well as color, so I have options for different outfits. I tend to stick to neutral colors such as whites, creams, greys, and black, as they go with the most!

Here are some of my favorite places to get t shirts:

Zara – $

While I’m not the biggest fan of fast fashion, Zara always have some great basics, especially their t shirts. They come in various different fits, fabrics, and colors, so you’re always bound to find what you’re looking for. Since white t shirts tend to get dirty very quickly, I always stock up on ones form Zara since I don’t feel too guilty if they get ruined.

H&M – $

Another place for great basics at a low price, H&M also always has great t shirts for layering. I love that they have 2 packs that include different colors, so you can have options of the same fit. They also have great oversized ts, as well as graphic tees!

Madewell – $$

When it comes to denim and basics, Madewell is always a great place to go. I love how thick and well made their t-shirts are, and some of mine that I’d had for years are still in great shape. They tend to be more of a stiffer cotton fabric, but that also helps it last longer.

Aritzia – $$

Every time I go into Aritzia, I somehow always manage to leave with a new t-shirt. Their fabrics are so buttery soft, and just drape on the body so well. My current favorite that I just picked up is the Wilfred Free Lounge T shirt. It’s a little cropped, and I sized up for a more looser oversized look, but it pairs SO well with jeans and the Effortless pants because of the length. It also has a heathered look that adds a bit of interest as well. They also have a ton of cropped tees that are great for petites!

Theory – $$$

I absolutely love Theory t shirts, except for the price tags. The fabrics and fits are amazing, and look exceptional layered under a jacket or a blazer. I love that their white t shirts aren’t too see through, which is so hard to find. Whenever I can find them on sale or at TJ Maxx, I grab as many as I can because I know how much wear I get out of them.

ATM – $$$
Another brand of T shirts that just fit amazingly is ATM. They are definitely on the higher end of the price points, but the quality is amazing and will last for years. A lot of their shirts have the burnout texture (the “slub jersey”), that add an extra touch that you sometimes need in a layering piece. The length of their shirts is perfect on me, and I love how they look on.
