Finding “clean” make up brands is a lot harder that I thought it would be. It’s not carried as much as other brands, some are online only so it’s hard to try items, and some products don’t work as well as their non-clean counterparts. After a lot of trial and error, I found a few make up brands that are clean beauty brands that I love. It’s not just one product that I love, but a variety of products that make me confident to buy from the brand again and again. Anytime they come out with anything new, I don’t hesitate to try it.
Tower 28
I love that they’re an Asian owned brand, but I also just love their products. The SOS spray was such a game changer for me when the pandemic first hit to help my face from mascne. The cream blush and cream bronzer are so easy to apply quick, and blend so well. And my absolute favorite is the Jelly lip gloss. It’s not sticky and adds just a beautiful hint of color, and it’s what I wore on my wedding day so it’ll always have a special place in my heart. The ONLY product I have not tried from them is the tinted sunscreen foundation, and I plan to grab it during the next Sephora sale!
Merit
I saw a make-up tutorial of someone doing their make up with only Merit products, and that was enough for me to try and buy 3 products from them at once. I loved the concept behind the brand of an effortless “5-minute makeup”, so everything is super bendable and looks great on the skin. I absolutely love the brush, and use it for everything from concealer to blush to bronzer. The Flush balm is the perfect hint of color, I currently have 2 different shades and can’t wait to get more. The Concealer stick is so great for getting ready fast, and I’m already on my second one. This is a brand that I can’t wait to keep using, and will be repurchasing again and again.
Ilia
The first item I purchased from them was their Serum Skin Tint. It was unlike any other product I’ve tried before, and was amazed by the results. After that I’ve purchased quite a few products from them, and all have been great. I also love the variety of products that they have. Clean beauty products aren’t always the easiest to find, but I love that they have so many categories of products to try!
There are a few other clean beauty brands that I’ve tried that I’ve liked products from like Saie, Kosas, Lawless, but I just haven’t tried enough of their products yet. These three brands make up almost 90% of what I wear for makeup daily, and I can’t wait to buy more from them!
