New Clean Beauty I tried and loved

Every time the Sephora sale comes around, I always stock up on my favorites and also pick out a few new things to try. Since it’s at a lower price, I figured it’s always the best time to try! It’s been about a week since I picked up these products as I got them the first day of the sale, but I’ve been using them ever since and I am so impressed, and will definitely be repurchasing both again.

Merit Tinted Lip Oil Gelee

I have absolutely loved everything I have every purchased from Merit and use their products daily, so when they came out with a new lip oil it was a no brainer for me to buy one. Lip oils are having a moment right now, it seems like every brand from Dior to drug store has one. I have the classic version of the Merit lip oil which I like, but it’s rather pigmented so you need a mirror to apply it. It’s great for events, but not my daily go to. On a day to day basis I’m more of a lip balm kind of gal, and prefer something easy to wear and low maintenance. This lip oil gelee was just that. It’s light weight on the lips, and doesn’t feel super sticky or heavy like some other lip oils I have tried. I got the color “Jete” which is a sheer neutral, and just adds the perfect hint of color. My lips look glossy and healthy and hydrated, and is a product I can wear every day. I love that this formula works with your body’s natural PH, so the color will look slightly different on everyone which makes it unique. I can’t wait to try other shades they have, the other on that caught my eye was the color “Les Deux” which is a sheer pink that I thihnk would be perfect for summer.

Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Dewy Foundation Drops

Westman Atelier has always been one of those aspirational clean beauty brands for me, since the price point is much higher than I usually purchase. These foundation dew drops cost $68, whereas the Ilia serum I use is $48 and the Merit stick is $38, so it’s a bit of a price jump than what I’m used to. When I first got the bottle, I was honestly shocked and slightly disappointed by how small it was. My first thought was I spent how much for a bottle this tiny?? But then I looked at the size of the foundation that it holds, which is 1oz. It’s the same amount as the Ilia serum or the Kosas foundation, it’s just the packaging is much more compact and dispenses by squeezing the product rather than a pump or dropper. This makes this product so easy to travel with, and takes up so little space on my counter. The formula of this foundation is amazing. It’s super lightweight, but covers any redness or blemishes I have while still looking super natural. I’ve had people tell me they can’t believe I’m even wearing any foundation, that’s how natural this looks on the skin. The foundation drops are also packed with amazing skincare ingredients, so it actually helps improve your skin while you’re wearing it. This is the first product I’ve tried from them, but it definitely won’t be the last!

The Sephora sale is currently open to all levels of Beauty Insiders and goes until 4/24, so now is the time to stock up on everything you need, or even pick up a few new things to try like I did!
