I’m a huge fan of Merit products, I love that their products are clean and cruelty free, and the brand is focused on minimalistic beauty. The minimalist concealer stick, the flush balm, and their No 1 brush are products I use daily and can’t go without. I have loved every product I’ve tried from them without fail. When I saw on Instagram that they were coming out with a new product and it was skincare, I knew I had to try it as soon as I could. The Great Skin Instant Glow serum fits into my daily routine so perfectly, and it’s a product I didn’t know I was missing.
Great Skin is an “Instant Glow” serum that contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump your skin for a visibly brighter and more even looking skin tone. I love using one or 2 pumps of it before my moisturizer, and I’ve noticed such a difference in my skin. It looks bouncier and hydrated, and has a glow to it without it being greasy. The serum is the absolute perfect base for the minimalist stick, and I can do my full face of make up in less than 10 minutes because everything is so easy to blend. You have to shake the bottle prior to using, and since the formula is more on the liquid side I always make sure to cup my hand when I pump the product to avoid a mess. The serum skins in quickly into my skin, so I don’t have to wait around for it to absorb. At the end of the day, my skin looks just as glowy and healthy as it did in the morning, and after a full week of using it my skin has just been loving it. I have very sensitive skin and can break out easily, but I have not had any issues at all with this product.
The product is very luxe looking with a glass bottle and a pump dispenser, but I was shocked by how much product you get for the price! It is $38 for 1.69 OZ, which to me is a great price since I only need 1-2 pumps a day so this bottle will last a while. Comparing the price to another one of my favorites, The Summer Fridays heavenly 16 face oil (which is $55 for 1 OZ), it’s almost double the product for less. While they are different products and I use them for different purposes, knowing that its cheaper than another product I love and repurchase makes the Great Skin a no brainer to add on to my routine.
If you love healthy glowy skin, especially with the colder months coming, I can’t recommend this product enough. It leaves my skin so nice and dewy, that I can use this without make up and go about my day. This has quickly become a staple in my morning routine, and once you try it I know it will become yours as well.
