I invest in my wardrobe, and I like to make sure I’m taking care of my items and keeping them in the best shape I can. Certain fabrics like canvas and suede are more delicate than others, and require a little bit more attention. I always clean and out away my bags and shoes when I’m not using them, for bags I stuff them and store them in dust bags, for shoes I clean them off and store them in shoe boxes. For the more delicate/sensitive fabrics, I also like to protect them with a spray to keep them in the best shape. I love using a barrier spray on my canvas and leather bags and leather bags and shoes to help them repel stains and liquids. This is a MUST for me, especially on white or light-colored canvas, and suede and canvas shoes. While it doesn’t give complete protection, it definitely helps keeps your items much more protected.
While there are many different sprays you can get, my personal favorite is the Jason Markk repel spray. This spray is water based, the barrier is breathable, has no odor or color, making it safe to use on many fabrics. The product comes in reusable applicators and refills, so it helps be more eco-friendly. The mist is very fine so it’s easy to coat your items evenly. It’s definitely not a one and done product, as you do need to re-apply about every 4-6 weeks! I just make sure to cover any leather details with a paper towel or a cloth to make sure it doesn’t get covered by the spray.

Because you can use this on a variety of fabrics, it’s such a must have for any household. I use it on my husband’s beloved sneakers, on my canvas sneakers and suede boots, and designer canvas bags. I love that I don’t need to buy a suede specific spray, or a canvas specific spray, a show specific spray, etc. I just need this one product!!
