The Aritzia Effortless Pant

99% of the time, I wear jeans. But recently I have felt the desire to expand beyond just jeans, and purchased the Effortless Pant from Aritzia (when I also ordered the Melina pant). These pants first reminded me of something my mother wore to work back in the day with a matching suit jacket. But these pants are different. They have a wide leg that pleated with a drapey fabric, giving it the title “Effortless” look. The crepe material is from Japan, which makes the pants a little extra special for me. They look chic without even having to try. They’re super comfortable and flattering. You can wear a jacket with it, or a t-shirt and sneakers and still look elevated. Very Hailey Bieber vibes, which I’m obsessed with.

The pants come in Short, Regular, and Tall, but I personally was a bit disappointed with the Short selection. There were not nearly as many color options, and most of them said that the ship date would be in May. I wanted the pants sooner so I got the regular length, and will have to hem them a bit ( at least 3-4 inches). I ordered a size 0 regular, and ended up having to exchange for 00 because they were just too loose at the waist. I would definitely have loved to have gotten the shorter length, but I’m happy to have them now instead of in a few months!

I ordered a pair in black which also makes them feel a little dressier, but I also know I’d get a ton of wear from them, especially to wear to work. It would look so cute with a cropped cardigan, or a t-shirt and blazer for the office. For the summer and warmer months, I want to get a pair of lighter color ones because I think they would be so easy and comfortable to wear! These are definitely not something I would have picked up in store if I saw them on the hanger, but after seeing so many people style them online, and after trying them on myself, I understand the hype. There are so many ways to wear and style these pants, I feel like they will be one of my go to pants, and a must have for any wardrobe.
