The Aritzia Melina pant has been going viral for a while, both on Instagram and Tiktok. There are many dupes and other versions of a vegan leather pants, but this pair seems to be the one I see most often. After debating whether or not to get it for almost a year, I finally took the plunge.

The pant now comes in three different lengths: Short, Regular, and Tall. Being petite (5’2”), this was one of the reasons I never purchased a pair of vegan leather pants because I knew it would be such a pain to have hemmed. With the shorter cut, I didn’t have to worry about that at all.
I ordered a size 0 short in black in these pants, I’m normally a size 24 in jeans. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I tried these on, but it blew all my expectations away.
They have a high rise fit, and a straight leg, so they are extremely flattering. They are also the most buttery, soft material that doesn’t feel cheap or plasticky like other vegan leather fabrics can. They have a bit of stretch to them so they’re extremely comfortable to wear. The length was perfect on me to wear either sneakers or heels so I can wear them to work with a blouse, or on the weekend with a t shirt or sweatshirt. They’re so much more versatile than I thought, and something I didn’t know was missing from my wardrobe.

They are $148 so a bit on the pricey side, but compared to other vegan leather pants the price was pretty comparable, but much better quality in my opinion. A&F’s pair is still $99, so the price doesn’t differ enough for how much better the quality. The fit is also unbeatable. I got the black pair since I thought it would be the color I would wear most often. But after wearing them and styling them a few different ways I definitely want to look into other color options for when I do get a second pair, because I know I will.
