I haven’t done one of these in a while because to be honest, I’m trying not to shop as much. I feel like my closet is in a good place, and I’m not really looking to add too much to my wardrobe. But this piece was just way to stunning to pass up.
If you go through any of my previous blog posts, you know I love a good blazer. They’re easy to add on top of a t-shirt, and make you look more put together in an instant. One of the brands that does blazers like no other is L’Agence. Between the fit, the details, the fabrics, their blazers are stunning and a work of art. They are also pricey. Depending on the style or fabric, they can be priced anywhere from $425 to up to $1395 for leather or suede.
When I was at TJ Maxx, my eye was immediately drawn to a blazer. It had such a “wow” factor about it. Between the print and the gold buttons, it has a slight Balmain vibe about it, but more classic. It’s a timeless style that can be worn dressed up or dressed down, and would be something I could see myself wearing over and over again. Since it’s such a stunning piece, I was a bit nervous to look at the price since I had already fallen in love with it. To my shock, it was priced at $149.99.
The first thing I do when I find something at an off-price retailer is look it up. What was the original price, when did is it from (it is an older style?). This gives me a little more insight to if something is a good deal or not. After doing a little digging, I found that it retailed for $595 full price. That put this blazer at being almost 75% off. For blazers I am usually a size 0, but they only had a 2 available. While slightly oversized, it still fit very well, the sleeves weren’t too long, and the length was perfect on me. The only part that looked a bit big was on the shoulders, but it still looked amazing on. It also makes it look a bit more casual due to the relaxed fit. The ways to style this are endless, and I’m so happy to add this in. While I do have another white and black printed blazer, it is definitely very different from this one. Because of the gold button details, this adds a bit more fun and glam to the blazer. It’ll be perfect for a night out with a lacy black cami underneath, to wear to work with a simple t shirt and pants, or on the weekends paired with ripped jeans and sneakers to dress it down a bit.
