Winter Skin Saver: Summer Fridays Face Oil

As the weather has gotten colder, I have noticed my skin needs a little extra help staying hydrated. In the middle of the day is when I really start to notice it. My skin feels tight and uncomfortable, and I knew my normal skin care routine wasn’t enough. I added one product to my skin care routine, and my skin has never looked or felt better. The Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen All-In-One Face Oil was the product I never knew I needed, and now cannot go without in the winter.

I was very hesitant at first to try this product. I have very sensitive skin that’s prone to breakouts and clogged pores and tends to be oily, so an oil is not something I would have every gone towards purchasing. But then Summer Fridays came out with this product, and I was immediately intrigued. Despite my super sensitive skin, I’ve never had a bad reaction to any of their products, and it’s made with non-comedogenic oils only, so I thought it would be worth a try. It is a higher price point, but I purchased it during the Sephora sale (they’re currently running a 20% off one order promotion as well!) so I figured what do I have to lose.

With any new skin care product, I always do a test patch before applying it to my face, and also slowly add it into my routine. That way if I do have a reaction to it, it is more manageable. I added a few drops to my face moisturizer, and I didn’t know how big of a difference it would make. It absorbs so quickly into my skin, and keeps it hydrated not only in the moment, but throughout the entire day. I added a few drops to my night cream, and I woke up with my skin feeling soft and supple. And the best part? Not a single break out in sight.

For days when my skin is extra dry (usually days I’m in the office and the heat is on), or it just needs and extra boost, I mix a few drops into my Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask (again, a holy grail item for me) and let it sink into my skin overnight, and I woke up with hydrated skin as if nothing was wrong.

This item was such a pleasant surprise for me, and one that I will definitely repurchase when I run out! It’s such a great addition to my current products, and I can use it both day and night so I didn’t need to replace any products I already own. While it is a more expensive skincare item, I only use a few drops a day (1-2 morning and night, and more if I needed it!), a bottle lasts a long time and I really see the value of the product. I have tried other oils before, squalene, vitamin c, but I’ve never been as happy with the outcome as I am with this oil!

Do you have any dry skin recommendations to try? If so please let me know!!
