Five-Minute Make Up Favorites

Since focusing on skin care, I don’t tend to wear a ton of make up on a daily basis. This is also great when getting ready in the morning since I can get my make up done in around five minutes. After doing this for a while, I don’t know how I used to spend so much time getting ready in the morning!

I’ve tried many products, but these are my favorites and go-to’s that I will always repurchase.

Merit Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick

I usually stick to liquid concealers, but after trying this I just haven’t gone back. It is a foundation/concealer stick, so you can use as little or as much as you need. It’s super easy to blend, and doesn’t look cakey at all. I was hesitant to purchase it at first due to the price and some negative reviews, but I personally love the product and have had no issues with the packaging. I didn’t think it would last long since there isn’t too much product, but a little goes a long way so I haven’t gone through as much product as I thought I would.

Ilia Lash Lengthening Mascara

I bought this mascara after trying a sample size, and loving that it was a “clean formula”. I didn’t know what to expect when I first tried it, but it makes my lashes long and fluffy and doesn’t clump or flake off. The brush on the applicator has two different sides, a shorter side to lift and curl, and a longer side to separate and lengthen. This little feature helps me get the best lashes!

Merit Flush Balm Cream Blush

This little dome shaped blush is everything I didn’t know I needed in a blush. It blends so easily, and because of the dome shape it’s easy to apply exactly where you want it without making a mess (many you have to use your fingers to get out of the packaging so this is a refreshing change!)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

This brow pencil has been my go to for years. I have tried other brow products; other pencils, pomades, powders, gels, but I always come back to this one. The pencil is so thin it’s easy to draw thin strokes, and easy to blend with the spoolie attached. If my brows need a little extra taming I’ll throw on some brow gel (I like Glossier’s Boy Brow or Benefit’s Gimme Brow)

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm

I can never say enough good things about this lip balm. I’ve already repurchased it several times, and have one to keep at home and one to keep in my purse because I really can’t be without it. It’s hydrating but not sticky, lightly scented but not overwhelming. It’s everything you can want in a balm.

Merit Tapered Brush One thing that makes a quick make up application easier is less make up tools. While I love a beauty sponge, they’re not always the fastest tool to use. This brush is super soft but blends out make up really well, and it’s all I need for my whole face! I use it for concealer, bronzer, blush, everything.

These are just my must haves to get ready quickly, I’ll add in a few more of my favorites when I have more time!
