Unsurprisingly, my deal of the week of from TJ Maxx. This is mostly because it’s one of the only places I have been shopping, but I also just happen to find the most amazing steals!
This week’s find is a beautiful subtle print pleated skirt from Brochu Walker. I absolutely love the brand; their pieces are beautiful and timeless and great for work, but VERY expensive. This skirt at full retail price goes for $348. Buying something because it’s on sale is usually not a good idea, so I always have a mental check list besides an amazing deal before I wear something. Do I already own something similar? Can I wear it multiple ways? Will I wear it more than a few times? This skirt checked all the right boxes, and even though it’s an animal print the neutral colors and subtle print make the skirt super wearable. I found the skirt on sale for $34 (originally $99 at TJ maxx which is still a good deal) , making it 90% off full price. Even if I only wear it once a month, it makes it less than $3 a wear! And this piece will definitely get a lot of use.
The pictures I found online have the skirt styled more dressed up, or work appropriate. I personally would style this skirt now with a chunky knit sweater and booties, and in the spring with a white t-shirt and sneakers, more casually. When something is a little more dressier, I love to pair it with more casual pieces like sneakers or sweaters or leather jackets to make it more wearable for everyday.
