Holiday Gifting: Custom Gift Baskets

One of the hardest parts of the holidays is finding the perfect gift. It so easy to just order something off of an online retailer and call it a day, but I like to give gifts that are a little more personal and have a little more thought or effort into them. It also makes your gift stand out, and not give someone something that they may already get.

A few years ago I started doing custom themed baskets for gifts. It’s easy, and allows you to customize and create something in your budget. You can splurge on one item and fill the rest of the basket with stocking stuffers, or curate your own deluxe basket with items you know they’ll love. It also shows that you put thought into your gift, and they’ll never know how easy it was to put together!

First, I like to think of what each recipient likes, and come up with an overall theme. For example, do they like to cook, are they a beauty lover, do they deserve a little at home spa day, etc. and go from there! I also love to include some of my favorite items I think they would love, and when I can add something local or from your favorite small business. I love doing variations of baskets for people because it makes gifting so much easier! In the past I’ve gone with an at home spa day theme that included bath bombs and cozy slippers, or a tea theme with special tea mugs, a variety tea sampler, and local honey.
