Recent Splurge-Gucci Belt

I’ve had my eye on this Gucci belt for years. I know most people I see on Instagram have the wider belt, but it just wasn’t me. I have several designer belts, but they were purchased from the outlets and while I love them, they’re definitely not my dream belt. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much money on a belt when I already had some great ones. Also, the one I want is NEVER in stock. Every time I passed a Gucci store I would poke my head in, and constantly check online, but never had any luck.

I recently got a promotion at work (I’m very happy about that) and thought I would treat myself to something nice. I randomly went on Gucci’s website and saw my belt was in stock! Maybe it was a sign I needed it in my life?? I figured if there was any reason to get it, a splurge on myself was as good as any. The style is simple and classic, so I have no worries of it ever going out of style. After I received it in the mail, out of curiosity I had to check online, and saw that they were already out of stock. My timing couldn’t have been better!

I’m a size 24 in jeans, and I ordered a size 75. I wanted a belt that I would wear with all my jeans, both mid rise and high rise, so I went with a larger size to be able to wear lower on my hips. For high rise jeans, a size 70 is perfect, and to wear on my natural waist (for dresses etc) a size 65 fits perfectly.
