For me, summer hair is either beachy waves or in a messy bun. With the heat and humiãdity that’s all I can handle for the most part. A bun takes minimal effort and never fails, and for me waves is either sleeping with my hair in waves for 5 minutes with a curling iron. SUPER simple.
These are my favorite products in the summer to add a beachy effect to my hair, or to get some much needed volume. The Dry Volume blast or Triple Sec are perfect for adding extra volume to my hair, I switch it up depending on my mood. Or whichever sent I like better that day. Same goes for the Mai Tai spritzer and the verb sea salt spray, both are great for adding the “just came from the beach” almost gritty texture to your hair. Oh and both smell AMAZING.
As for the Ouai products, I’m obsessed with everything they make. I haven’t tried anything and not fallen in love. The wave spray adds the perfect amount of shine to my hair without adding any weight. The Sun of Beach spray for me though is a game changer. It’s a Ombre spray that lightens and brightens hair. I’m not going to lie when I first saw this product I was have flash backs to that cheap lightening spray everyone used in middle school that turned everyone’s hair orange. This is not that. I have natural reddish undertones to my hair (I’m part Irish and had when hair until I was about 5) , and my hair does get lighter after I’ve been in the sun. This spray takes that to a new level. After using it for only a week I noticed lighter undertones to my hair, and it just looked brighter and more summery. Stay tuned to see how my hair looks after using this all summer!
